Training FNE 2021

The scheme has been implemented as of January 1, 2021, with retroactive effect for eligible applications submitted since that date.

Since March 2020, thanks to the reinforced FNE-Formation, the State has been financing training for employees of companies in partial activity following the crisis. The aim is to intensify support for all companies affected by the current situation, so that they can anticipate their skills issues and develop the employability of their employees. In 2020, the FNE-Formation supported 180,000 companies and 366,000 employees, for some 7 million hours of training and 333 million euros committed... (Source DGEFP, January 2021). Within the framework of the "France Relance" plan, a budget of 1 billion euros is planned for the FNE-Formation.

For job seekers

*The financing of the training concerns job seekers receiving unemployment benefits and whose training project, intended to promote a return to employment, is validated by the employment center.

*The financing of the training by the Regional Council. The aid schemes may vary from one region to another: each region defines its policy in terms of training funding.

*The professionalization contract allows young people (aged 16 to 25) and job seekers (aged 26 and over) to acquire a professional qualification and promotes professional integration or reintegration.

Other financing arrangements

For non-salaried workers (liberal professions, farmers, craftsmen, shopkeepers, self-employed workers, etc.) the conditions of access to continuing professional training are set by specific rules. In the general scheme, they are based on three training insurance funds :

Fonds interprofessionnel de formation des professions libérales (F.I.P.-P.L.) ;
Association de gestion du financement de la formation des chefs d'entreprise (AGEFICE);
Fonds d'assurance formation des professions médicales libérales (F.A.P.-P.L.).
Disabled people can apply to AGEFIPH (Fund for the professional integration of disabled people).

Some pension funds (especially for executives) can sometimes cover part of the cost of training according to their own criteria.

It is also possible to personnaly finance your own training.
